Greenbrier Valley Community Foundation Grant Programs
The Mary B. Nickell Fund For Arts Education Grant
The Mary B. Nickell Grant for Arts and Education was established to provide funding for enrichment programs in art in the Greenbrier County public schools. The grant is to be used in Greenbrier County public schools primarily for art supplies. Grants for guest artist visits and visits to see painting and painters will also be considered.

The Greenbrier Valley Women's Fund Grant
The Greenbrier Valley Women’s Fund was established in 2006 as a donor-advised fund at the Greenbrier Valley Community Foundation. Earnings from this endowment are granted to local nonprofit organizations that work to empower women in Greenbrier, Monroe, and Pocahontas counties. Grants are awarded in the fall and provide funding for personnel, projects, materials, and capital improvements to be completed in the upcoming year.

The Williamsburg Community Fund Grant
Established in 2018 by members of the Board of Direcotrs of the Northern Greenbrier Health Clinic to continue its legacy of caring for the community, this grant provides funding for projects that improve the quality of life in the Greater Williamsburg area. The amount of the grant varies each year according to the earnings of the fund. The maximum amount available is $4,000 per project.

The Moore Community Fund Grant
The Moore Family Community Fund Grant was established by members of the Moore Family to provide funding for projects that improve the quality of life in our community. Since the Moore family was active with the Greenbrier Military School, Camp Shaw-Mi-Del-Eca, the State Fair of West Virginia, and other enrichment programs for young people, preference is given to projects that involve youth and outdoor activities. The amount of the grant varies each according to the earnings of the fund.

The Greenbrier Valley Community Foundation Endowment Challenge Grant
The Endowment Challenge Grant was initiated by the Board of Directors of the Greenbrier Valley Community Foundation to help nonprofit organizations in Greenbrier County become more financially stable and self-reliant through the establishment of endowed agency funds.
Nonprofits who wish to establish or build an endowed fund with the Greenbrier Valley Community Foundation may apply to contribute $2,500.00 and receive a $7,500.00 grant toward an endowment.

The Alvin and Betty Gordon Fund for Education and the Arts
Alvin and Betty Gordon Fund for Education and the Arts, a fund created by the couple and then grown substantially through an incredibly generous estate gift, is offering a grant to support arts and education in the Greenbrier Valley. Applicants from Greenbrier, Monroe, and Pocahontas counties may apply for programming or support up to $2,000.
